Please send me your genuine candidate on my email ID [email protected] Job Role : Sr. Network Architect Location : Los Angeles, CA Need Local Candidates Duration: Long Term Note: EAD, GC, USC Job Description We seek an experienced Senior Network Architect to oversee the network solutions design, implementation, and operation. The ideal candidate has comprehensive experience in the ideation, design, development, implementation, and operation of mission-critical and enterprise-scale global networks. Experience in Media and Entertainment, Sports Broadcasting, large venue/stadium implementations, or similar major international events is highly desirable, as is the ability to learn and adapt quickly to this unique environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the network is reliable, secure, and cost-effective, meeting the unique demands of this global event. The ideal candidate will possess strong business and executive acumen, exceptional technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across different organizations. Key Responsibilities: Define, maintain, and evolve the Network Architecture, setting the standards and working with key stakeholders and delivery partners to ensure, through pilots and testing, the reliable, secure, and cost-effective end-to-end design, implementation, and operation of the data network. Work closely with key project stakeholders, including the Organizing Committee, Telecom Service Provider (TSP), Network Equipment Provider (NEP), Cyber Security specialists, Venue Technology teams, Stadium/Venue IT teams, Spectrum teams, and end-user groups (such as press agencies and Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS)), to ensure that functional and non-functional requirements are captured, incorporated into the network designs, and thoroughly tested before the Event. Provide technical guidance, oversight, and assurance of the TSP and NEP delivery, including reviewing and approving high-level and low-level network designs and advising on best practices for implementation and operations. Focus on minimizing project costs, managing risks, and adhering to industry best practices. Actively pursue opportunities for innovation, exploring the use of existing venue technologies and developing scalable Network-as-a-Service (Naas) models. Reassess the traditional network design and associated SLAs to identify modernization opportunities without compromising Olympic Network requirements such as Security, Bandwidth, Latency, QoS, and High Availability. Capture lessons learned throughout the network lifecycle and support the broader Telecommunications Project with design, planning, and operational aspects of other services, including the Broadcast Contribution Network, Fixed and Mobile telephony. Actively pursue, manage, and lead opportunities for innovation in developing the reference, conceptual, and target state architecture and design of the network and telecommunications services to reduce cost and improve efficiency within the Games environment. We require a resource who can provide thought leadership, craft a robust technology strategy, and convert it into actionable tactics with well-defined timelines Based in Los Angeles, USA Willing and able to travel periodically within the USA and potentially internationally. Languages: Strong proficiency in English is required. Preferred Skills: - 7+ years in enterprise networking, working with or for Telecom service providers and direct hands-on experience overseeing the design and implementation of global and mission-critical networks for major international organizations. Experience in in high-profile live-broadcast sporting events is a plus for this role Entertainment and TV Broadcasting is a strong plus. Experience managing network projects from inception to completion, including developing and executing project plans, timelines, and budgets. Broad knowledge and understanding across the entire domain of telecommunications services and technologies. Ability to align network architecture with business objectives, balancing visionary strategy with practical execution. Strong leadership and project management skills, credible in communicating, influencing, and building rapport and consensus across technical specialists, partners, and executive/senior stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of verbally articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and through documentation and network diagrams. Real-time troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, a creative approach to developing innovative solutions to complex networking challenges, and a proven track record of solving complex network issues. Ability to conduct thorough network assessments and audits. Experience in establishing, managing, test lab environments for rapid proof of concept development and testing. Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and areas for cost reduction. Innovative mindset to propose modern and cost-effective solutions. Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor junior network engineers. Technical Skills: First-hand experience designing and implementing wired and wireless LANs in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks. Proficiency in WAN design and optimization, including using SD-WAN and WAN acceleration solutions. Experience with Media and Broadcast scale connectivity. Experience designing and implementing DDOS / Internet Clean-pipes protection solutions. Up-to-date knowledge of LAN, WAN, and Wireless emerging trends, latest advancements, and best practices. Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in networking. Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to US network infrastructure. In-depth knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN, VRFs, and VPNs. Understanding wireless protocols (e.g., 802.11 standards), with specific experience working with high-density Wi-Fi deployments, such as stadiums. Exposure to designing and implementing public and private 5G architecture solutions with an understanding of 5G Core (5GC) and Radio Access Network (RAN) technologies. Hands-on experience with network slicing, including orchestration and QoS management. Knowledge of Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) for edge optimization. Familiarity with protocols specific to 5G (e.g., PDCP, UPF, PHY, HTTP/2, SCTP, NGAP, and PFCP). Integration of 5G with existing LTE/4G and Wi-Fi 6/7 infrastructures. Experience working with Open RAN architectures and network function virtualization (NFV) a plus. Understanding spectrum allocation for private 5G, including CBRS and mm Wave technologies. Understanding dark fibre and the use of DWDM over existing fibre networks and their applications in high-capacity, low-latency connections. Skills in designing and implementing VoIP/IPT solutions for voice communications over IP networks. Knowledge of video delivery over IP for live and pre-recorded content (e.g. IPTV, video streaming solution). In-depth understanding of multicast protocols (e.g., IGMP, PIM) for efficient data distribution. Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
