Job Title: Java Application Developer ETF (Exchange Traded Funds) Location: New York Contract Position Hybrid 3 days a week onsite Level 3 5-7 yrs of experience Description: The individual in this position will be a member of a global application development team who is responsible for applications development to support ETF front to back process for Brokerage Investment Management (Client's IM). The Individual also will be part of ETF development team which will develop ETF middle office platform and Front office platform. The primary focus of the position will be to develop application used by ETF Portfolio Managers and ETF operation team. This individual will also have responsibilities for on-going L3 support of current systems. Skill Set: 1. Strong development experience in Core JAVA, spring framework, restful framework is MUST. 2.Solid Computer Science knowledge is MUST, the technical interview will include basic algorithm and programming testing. 3. Strong knowledge of design patterns, data structure. include Dependency Injection, MVVM, MVC and others. 4.Strong knowledge of Java Script. Angular and React, Type Script will be plus. 5.UX design experience is plus. 6.Strong knowledge of XML and JSON. 7.Strong development experience in Agile includes Scrum Event, Test Driven, Pair programming, continuous integration is must. 8.Strong Working experience of UNIX environments is must. 9.Development experience in script, python is required. 10.Strong knowledge of database include T-SQL, normalization/de-normalization, performance tuning, locking mechanism . 11.Investment industry knowledge, particularly in the areas of ETF Trading and Portfolio Management, is a plus. 12. Demonstrated ability to analyze, create, and document solutions to problems. 13.Strong customer service focus, including the ability to effectively respond to customer needs. 14.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with users and vendors. 15.Strong team player with a results-oriented focus and a highly disciplined approach to meeting objectives. 16.Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and requirements.
