The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes while supporting data migration initiatives from on-premises to cloud-based environments. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using IBM InfoSphere DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from various sources. Design and implement data migration strategies to move data from on-premises DataStage environments to Azure Cloud. Develop and optimize workflows in Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data integration, transformation, and orchestration. Troubleshoot and optimize DataStage jobs and ADF pipelines for performance tuning and efficiency. Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and consistency. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in cloud-based and hybrid environments. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate and schedule ETL processes using CI/CD pipelines. Document technical designs, ETL workflows, and migration processes for knowledge sharing and future reference. Support and monitor data migration activities to ensure a seamless transition with minimal disruption to business operations. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in IBM DataStage (InfoSphere) development, including ETL design and implementation. 3+ years of experience working with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for cloud-based data integration. Hands-on experience with data migration projects from on-premises to Azure Cloud (or other cloud platforms). Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases like SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL. Experience with Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Synapse Analytics, and Databricks. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and performance tuning. Experience with Python, Power, or other scripting languages for automation is a plus. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control tools (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps). Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with the ability to analyze large datasets. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other ETL tools such as SSIS, Talend, or Informatica. Knowledge of Big Data technologies and real-time data processing frameworks. Certification in Azure Data Engineer or IBM Certified DataStage Developer is a plus.
