Really wants locals to Dallas, TX and people coming from devops background and later transitioned to product owner ship.. This experience needs to be articulated in recent projects. Tech Ops is looking to backfill a Product Owner role they have. This is due to the technical skillsets the role now requires. I have attached the JD but want to call out a few points: The PO role is focused more on Cloud Engineering & Developer Experience teams, very limited to no interaction with the FinOps team that sits under TechOps. Successful candidate would be someone who had worked in the past with a DevOps team or had experience with maintaining cloud infrastructure. Successful candidates may even be someone who had been an engineer but is looking to transition to a product role. T ech Ops Product Owner: Required general qualifications include ability to: Manage a product backlog for one scrum team, which will include organizing/participating in agile ceremonies (daily stand ups, sprint planning, spring reviews, and retrospectives) to stay updated on the progress and identify areas of improvement Build, prune, and prioritize the product backlog based on customer needs and technical feasibility in collaboration with engineering lead, adapting to changing priorities and account for adjustments to maximize customer value Collaborate with the development team to break down items into executable stories that articulate business and customer value Ensure the product backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and provide direction on order of the scrum teams work Gather and analyze feedback/metrics to inform future road mapping and ensure alignment with the products vision and strategy Develop and implement data driven product strategies aligned with objectives and user needs Identify and address risks, threats, or opportunities that could impact products success, notifying and escalating issues when necessary Analyze user data, understand market trends, and competition to understand customer needs and inform product strategy specific to a product/feature Have a clear understanding of the product vision and be able to communicate it to the team and stakeholders Contribute to a product roadmap to outline the key milestones and deliverables for the product development process Define product requirements that align with the product vision and strategy, and communicate them effectively to the development team Plan and manage product releases to ensure product is delivered on time, meets the quality standards, and achieves established goals and metrics Define user experience flow Ensure user stories are ready to work, including having details and acceptance criteria Contribute to product thinking, design, and advocate for users while supporting the voice of the customer Required Domain-specific qualifications: Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and services, with particular focus on AWS Cloud Provider Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern developer tools and platforms (CI/CD, version control, internal developer platforms). Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams (DevOps, Security, Engineering, and Product Development) to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver cloud services that meet the organization's evolving needs. KPIs & Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for cloud infrastructure services, such as uptime, latency, cost efficiency, and developer experience. Continuously track and report on these metrics to drive improvements. Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a product owner in multiple domains, with at least one focused on technical product development Cost Management: Work closely with FinOps teams to monitor cloud spending, develop cost-saving strategies, and optimize resource utilization across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) There will be two rounds of interviews.
