CANDIDATE SHOULD BE AMENDABLE TO WORK ONSITE ON DAY 1 IN Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey OR 30 Rock, New York City LOCAL CANDIDATES WILL BE PRIORITIZED RATE: $55 C2C Job Summary The Test Lead at HCL will be responsible for overseeing the testing activities and processes using agile methodology and Selenium. This role will involve leading a team of testers, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and contributing to continuous improvement of the testing practices. Qualifications/Requirements: B.S degree or higher in computer science or related education 5+ yrs. of experience in software engineering - QE testing 3+ yrs. of experience in testing Content Management, distribution system, news website, SEO, ads, metrics, video players (live/on-demand) & streaming media content on desktop & mobile platforms 3+ yrs. of experience in software engineering - QE automation Must have experience in database and API/Web services testing Must be proficient in Java Must have experience implementing automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver/Appium/TestNG/Junit) Must have experience with performance testing tools to measure server & client-side metrics Any experience in software engineering Security testing Must have experience using Version control (GIT), SQL, CI/CD Tools (Jenkins), Build Tools (Maven, ANT, etc), Debugging Tools (Charles/Fiddler), Monitoring tools (New Relic), Agile Management Tool (JIRA), Test Management Tool (TestRail) Any certification related to QE/Process/Automation/Performance Test/Security Key Responsibilities 1. Lead the testing team in planning, designing, executing, and reporting on test activities 2. Implement and monitor test strategies, plans, and processes using agile methodology 3. Conduct test case reviews, ensure traceability, and prioritize testing activities 4. Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify testing requirements and resolve issues 5. Automate test cases using selenium for efficiency and accuracy 6. Monitor and analyze test results, defect tracking, and test coverage metrics 7. Provide timely and relevant updates on testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders 8. Mentor team members on testing best practices and agile principles Skill Requirements 1. Proficient in agile methodology and experienced in leading testing teams in agile environments 2. Strong expertise in using selenium for test automation and scripting 3. Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices 4. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders 5. Ability to analyze complex problems, make decisions, and provide innovative solutions 6.
