Mainframe Support Executive (Pls don't share developer / administrator profiles also the resume should mention the support activities and role ) | Mainframe Support Executive Role Description:mainframe Operations Support (3RD Shift ) ADC Brooklyn ( shift hours/time Tuesday to Saturday 10:30 PM/ET to 7:00 AM/ET)Job Responsibilities: Support applications by providing monitoring, application, and system support for Production, QA, PSE, DEV and test environments. Provide 24x7 support for event monitoring, incident triage, and critical issues. Provide support to all environments on a shift basis, handling any activity for any environment as required. Provide access administration for application access to DTCCs various Production, QA, PSE, DEV and test environments and applications. Provide lead management support in maintaining the host operating system on Mainframe, Linux/UNIX, and Windows environments. Perform level 1 and 2 support for MQ & CICS issues and working with external/internal clients on MQ connectivity. Provide oversight on IPLs, MVS console activity, and HMC activities. Provide support and assistance with Autosys jobs/boxes, mainframe scheduling activities and auto operator commands on UNIX/LINUX servers. Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements to standard processes and procedures. Contribute to projects by executing task deliverables and ensuring permit-to-operate (PTO) guidelines are met. Provide support for change management approval, execution for data center services Perform level 1 and 2 support for Mainview MQ & CICS products. Support automation by making recommendations for optimizing and streamlining daily functions and batch cycles. Disaster Recovery experience a plus as participation in disaster recovery tests are required (done on weekends) Qualifications: Knowledge of CA1/7/11/CA Scheduler and JCL Distributed Autosys Scheduler Strong Knowledge of IPLs using HMC, BMC Mainview MQ & CICS products Knowledge of Windows OS and UNIX / LINUX OS a plus Strong written and verbal communication / presentation skills Strong knowledge of IBM z/OS, JES2, MVS Experience in working in a mainframe operations environment. Working knowledge of VTAM, TSO/ISPF, and Service now Alert management using Service Now and Splunk dashboards. Strong background in large-scale, multi-sysplex environments High level of problem solving and decision-making skills. Responsible for all aspects of batch processing, including the timeliness of online availability. Support the Major Incident Management teams. Support automation by making recommendations for optimizing and streamlining daily functions and daily batch cycles. Coordinate weekend activities for testing and installation of all system and application hardware and software changes.
