Role: Senior Performance Engineer Location: Austin, Texas (onsite) Duration: Long term Contract Top Skills Required: Performance Testing and Tuning Java applications, Python, AWS cloud skills Job Description: Define, develop and apply performance/scalability benchmarks. Work in cross-functional teams to characterize, debug, and improve system performance and scalability. Work efficiently with various profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks and provide root cause analysis. Devise and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance impacts of system changes. Plan and implement performance tests using an automated testing environment and conduct analysis of results. Participate in architecture and design reviews of complex solutions in cross-team engineering efforts and own quality perspectives for the design. Strong JMeter Experience, creating and running JMeter Scripts Strong Python scripting and framework creation experience Good understanding of Java Strong experience in identifying, debugging and performance tuning of virtual machines, Memory/CPU usage issues, thread unlocking etc. Good exposure in cloud technology (AWS), Kubernetes and DevOps tools/technologies.
