JOB: Informatics Project Manager Location: Hawaii (HYBRID NEED LOCALS) EXP:10+YEARS We need to fill in an Informatics Project Manager role for the Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) to lead and manage public health informatics projects. This includes overseeing Electronic Laboratory Reporting (ELR), Electronic Case Reporting (eCR), and Syndromic Surveillance (SyS) to ensure interoperability, data quality, and automation in health information systems. The role involves project management, technical expertise, collaboration with healthcare providers, federal agencies, vendors, and policy implementation. The individual must also develop and maintain informatics frameworks, manage risks, enhance reporting mechanisms, and support public health data modernization efforts while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Minimum qualifications as a masters degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience, including Epidemiology, Informatics, Data Science, and similar fields. Five (5) years of experience in health IT, informatics, and data science within a public health or healthcare setting. Must be able to operate common office equipment such as computers, Office 365, and SharePoint. Must be located in Hawaii. Must be able to travel by air to neighboring islands, and/or the mainland for conferences/meetings on DOH request.
