Senior SQL Database Administrator ( Health plan domain) Remote Contract Job Description Health plan domain is must. 10+ years experienced with multiple years in health plan domain. Senior SQL Database Administrator: We are seeking a senior-level SQL Server Database Administrator with extensive knowledge and experience in SQL Server administration in Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments. The candidate will manage all aspects of database administration in a single and clustering environment including but not limited to planning, installation, configuration, security configuration, backup and restore, optimization, and monitoring of SQL Server databases. The candidate should also possess T-SQL development skills to maintain and optimize SSIS ETL processes, and SQL scripts, and automation. The candidate should understand IT and software development life cycle processes to provide support in an on-premises and Azure environments. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement fault-tolerant SQL Server solutions using highly availability patterns for scalability and stability in on-premises and Microsoft Azure Design and deploy Microsoft SQL PaaS solutions in Microsoft Azure Government (MAG) Monitor and maintain database storage, and database health, performance, sustainability and security Monitor and maintain SQL server Mirroring, Log shipping, backups, ETL SSIS jobs, and encryption Provide SQL Server administration in MS SQL Server 2016, 2017 and/or 2019 Plan and implement database backup strategies and perform recovery in case of disaster Respond to database and user problems, and provide guidance to junior level DBA Analyze SQL query plans, suggest and implement solutions to support developers in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Install, configure and upgrade database management systems and software including clustering environment Refine and automate security lockdown processes using T-SQL and Power DSC Optimize Microsoft for ETL, Data visualization, and Business Intelligence data analysis Qualifications: BS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; an advanced degree is preferred A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the management and administration of enterprise level SQL databases in SQL Server 2016 or 2017 Experience designing fault-tolerant MS SQL solutions A minimum of two (2) years of experience designing and deploying Azure SQL Database on PaaS solutions in MS Azure Tenant A minimum of three (3) years of experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
