http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=2138867&uid= Must have shipboard experience Title: IT Shipboard Project Manager (Planning) Location: Onsite, 4x a week and remote Fridays -Miramar, FL -Local Rate: $60/hr on W2/1099/c2c Duration: 1 year International Travel is required - 10-20% Travel for Dry Dock related work (On an as needed basis to fill in for deployment team) Job Description Candidate will report directly to the Program Manager however will be working under the pillar of the Project Pre-Planning Team Lead. The team is responsible for planning of large scale IT operational fleet projects (shipboard) from inception through hand over to Deployment Team who will execute the deployment. They will be required to coordinate cross-team efforts, manage business and IT expectations, scope definition, scope management and documentation budget validation and procurement, design conversations and sign-off. Communicate with senior management in the discussion and formal presentation format. The ability to define and drive project schedules, manage vendors, align the project goals with IT strategic technology and process goals Required Skills An understanding of project methodology in a waterfall environment. A good understanding of Enterprise Technologies and their application, very good communication skills including but not limited to business presentations, issue resolution and communicating the same message to large teams. Candidate should have a go getter attitude and be willing to learn a complex scope package. Candidate should also have experience in procurement, and lead by example within the IT Culture based environment. Knowledge of logistics and its complexities. Ability to travel (10 - 20%) PMP preferred but not required Large complex project experience Required Education Previous shipboard experience a plus Large complex project experience Required Years of Experience Project Management 3-5 Desired Skills Project Management Methodologies MS Projects or similar tools Problem solving Issue Resolution Understanding of Enterprise Technologies and their application Good communication skills including but not limited to business presentations, and communicating to a large audience. HR skills include Team building, performance evaluations, coaching, performance & problem solving. Lead by example within the IT Culture based environment. Additional Information Candidate will potentially have the opportunity to support Dry Docks in a fill in basis should deployment project managers during longer Modernization type projects.
