Prior NYC DSS experience is strongly preferred, followed by experience with another NYC government client but experience with any government client in the past is neccessary. It's ok to approach candidates who are already working at the DSS. They are able to switch from one project to another and it's apparently no big deal for them to give notice on one project if they're able to get an offer on another team. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Under this initiative, the combination of technologies, applications and services continues to be refined periodically through a continuous improvement process achieved by the partnership with various DSS divisions, outside service organizations, and contractors. This partnership is intended to ensure full alignment of a state-of-the-art information technology strategy with the business goals of DSS and results in the information technology that fully supports and empowers staff, clients and partners to maximize service delivery. It also involves implementation of information technology policies and standards as well as executing all data security requirements, information technology planning and acquisition activities and technology training within the Agency. Tasks & Duties Initiate and implement testing Identify user stories and translate them into Test cases as required. Create Test cases vs. RTM Matrix against the user stories to support application development. Ensure that the application development is according to the quality assurance standards. Execute Integration test cases covering all integration points with other applications. Coordinate defect triage calls with design and development team. Coordinate with UAT team on UAT test strategy, and UAT test data. Coordinate UAT defect triage calls with UAT team Help team with performance testing. Identify test automation scenarios. Facilitate Postproduction verification for various releases. Provide Management Reporting and Information dissemination Analyze and document current systems and processes as currently implemented. Make recommendations for improvements based on client feedback. Work directly with business stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, and engineers to coordinate the building of applications to spec and on time. Managing QA team activities QA effort estimations, task allocations, creation of QA status JIRA dashboards and reports, facilitating QA signoff on meeting the defined exit criteria.
