Role: Jr. ArcGIS Analyst Location: Ny, New York Duration: 30 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 10202 Description The Software Analyst will sse ESRI ArcGIS Pro and excel to create maps and analyze New York's climate risk to better understand the impacts to DFS regulated entities and the communities it serves. The analysis would inform policy development. Duties Source, clean, structure data to import to ArcGIS Pro; analyze data using the ArcGIS Pro includes converting excel to tables, join/relate data, create new feature classes and layers, creating maps, etc. use MS Excel to analyze and manipulate data, synthesize and summarize findings for briefing memos. Interact/collaborate with DFS staff, and U. Albany climate hazards modeling team. Mandatory Requirements Experience (3+ Years) Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between the software users and the software developers. Conveys the demands of software users to the developers. Skills include: working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 12 months of experience geocoding data and programming related to geospatial analysis. 12 months of experience using ESRI ArcGIS Pro software 12 months of experience working with large datasets using MS Excel 12 months of experience with sourcing publicly available data for geospatial mapping analysis 12 months of experience working with MS Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software Bachelor's Degree in GIS related discipline or equivalent ESRI ArcGIS Pro Associate Certification Rsum Copy of Candidate Identification (i.e., Drivers License/Green Card/Visa and Passport if applicable) Any documents referenced in the above Requested Qualifications (i.e., professional certifications, degrees, etc.) Thank you, Katta Dasharatham Recruiting Team Lead Sligo Software Solutions Inc.
