The selected candidate will be responsible for research, architecture, and engineering activities that maintain and enhance telecommunications hardware, software, and services. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to create technical requirements for newly proposed products and services. Deliver proof-of-concepts that demonstrate proposed technologies and assist in their deployment. Maintain a working knowledge of various access technologies, including HFC DAA, DOCSIS, and PON. Develop system requirement documents, design documents, migration strategies, strategic roadmaps, and proof of concepts. Conduct RF technology analysis, perform computer simulations, conduct laboratory experiments, and record measurements. Analyze data and compose technical reports and technology recommendations. Manage vendor relationships regarding products and service deliverables based on business requirements and internal customer requests. Clearly communicate in writing and verbally, representing the organization at industry events and writing technical papers for conferences. Additional Responsibilities: Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Research, design, implement proof-of-concepts, and monitor/enhance systems. Analyze and revise existing system logic and documentation as necessary. Test and review system designs. Provide engineering technical support and guidance to partner teams, ensuring compliance with technical integration, changes, standards, and documentation. Mentor and guide the work of technical staff. Adhere to industry-specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable. Follow company policies and perform other duties as requested by management. Qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with internal clients. Strong writing skills for architecture requirements and design documents. Knowledge of system architecture and testing for various access technologies, including HFC DAA, DOCSIS, PON, Mobile, and Wi-Fi. Background in networking principles and protocol stacks. Experience developing architecture requirements for HFC DAA, DOCSIS, PON, Mobile, and Wi-Fi networks. Ability to develop access network strategies and roadmaps. Maintain a good understanding of industry trends and their potential impact. Participate in relevant industry standards organizations regarding access technologies. Promote the vision of being an industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy, and teamwork. Manage resource allocation and workload using SAFe Agile principles; collaborate with technology leadership, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to prioritize work.
