In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting analytical and machine learning applications. This hybrid position requires occasional on-site collaboration in Arkansas (AR) or California (CA).Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning initiatives. Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and Airflow. Work with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms to manage data storage, processing, and retrieval. Implement real-time and batch data processing solutions to enable high-performance data access. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure smooth data integration and accessibility. Maintain and improve data quality, governance, and security by implementing best practices and compliance policies. Design and optimize data warehouse solutions using technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks. Develop and maintain APIs for data access and integration with third-party applications.Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related fields. Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java. Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, or Flink. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra. Expertise in cloud-based data solutions (AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Azure Data Factory, Google Dataflow). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in retail or ecommerce domains, preferably with Walmart or similar large enterprises. Knowledge of machine learning models and their integration into data pipelines. Experience with real-time data processing and event-driven architectures. Certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
