Job Title: Senior Red Hat OpenStack Platform 16 Consultant Location: Remote USC GC GCEAD H4EAD TN Company Overview Our client is a leading provider of open-source software solutions, specializing in innovative and scalable technologies. They are seeking a Senior Red Hat OpenStack Platform 16 Consultant to join their team on a 6-month remote contract position, where you will play a key role in supporting the deployment and management of OpenStack 16. Position Overview The Senior Consultant will leverage their expertise with Red Hat OpenStack Platform (OSP) 16 to support the deployment and ongoing operations of OpenStack environments. This position also requires a deep understanding of Open Virtual Network (OVN), particularly within OpenStack 17. Key Responsibilities Deployment & Configuration : Lead the deployment of Red Hat OpenStack Platform 16 (OSP 16) in cloud environments. Integration : Integrate OpenStack components with existing infrastructure, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance. Networking Focus : Work extensively with Open Virtual Network (OVN), especially in relation to OSP 17 deployments, providing expert-level guidance on networking configuration and troubleshooting. Support & Troubleshooting : Offer technical guidance and troubleshooting support to ensure the smooth running of OpenStack environments. Documentation & Reporting : Prepare detailed technical documentation for deployments, configurations, and network setups, ensuring transparency for internal teams. Collaboration : Collaborate with other team members, including architects and engineers, to solve complex technical issues and ensure the optimal functioning of OpenStack platforms. Required Skills and Experience Red Hat OpenStack Platform (OSP) : Proven experience with OSP 16, including installation, configuration, and management. Open Virtual Network (OVN) : Deep understanding and hands-on experience with OVN, particularly in OSP 17 deployments. Networking : Strong understanding of networking principles within OpenStack, including virtual networks, overlays, and integration with physical networks. Cloud Infrastructure : Familiarity with cloud environments and architecture, including compute, storage, and network services. Automation & Scripting : Experience with automation tools like Ansible or similar to streamline deployment and configuration processes. Troubleshooting & Debugging : Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex OpenStack and OVN issues. Desirable Skills Familiarity with other OpenStack services, such as Nova, Neutron, Cinder, and Keystone. Experience with upgrading OpenStack platforms or managing hybrid cloud infrastructures. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Kubernetes (bonus if combined with OpenStack). Education & Certification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred). Relevant Red Hat certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenStack or similar) are a plus. Personal Attributes Strong communication and collaboration skills.
