The ideal candidate will use their expertise to ensure the best possible design is used to support application requirements. This will include the use of and design for tables, views, materialized views, functions, etc. The individual will also understand GraphQL and ensure designs are tailored to the GraphQL access layer. This person will be recognized as a database subject matter expert, and will be comfortable supporting multiple teams across the program as needed. Expected Results 1. Acquires the necessary information about an application and its requirements to generate resilient and performant database designs 2. Demonstrates ability to influence decisions made by technical teams and solution architects through strong verbal and written communication 3. Documents and explains database development best practices 4. Reviews proposed database code changes for quality and adherence to best practices 5. Participates in database performance troubleshooting, offering recommendations on how best to resolve issues 6. Identifies and implements process improvements to ensure a healthy and performant database 7.
