Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and manage AWS services to meet business and technical requirements. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using CloudFormation for automated deployments. Ensure best practices in AWS configurations, security, and compliance across cloud environments. Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, cost-effectiveness, and high availability. Implement DevSecOps best practices, ensuring cloud security policies and controls are enforced. Define and implement Policy as Code to ensure security, compliance, and governance standards. Work with AWS security services (IAM, GuardDuty, AWS WAF, Security Hub, etc.) to enforce security controls. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for automated deployments. Modify and optimize pipeline configurations to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable deployments. Implement automated testing and validation within CI/CD pipelines to improve reliability. Deploy and manage containerized applications using AWS ECS, EKS (Kubernetes), or Fargate. Optimize container orchestration and networking for high-performance cloud workloads. Implement centralized logging solutions for improved observability (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Fluentd). Integrate monitoring and alerting tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana for proactive issue detection. Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure and application issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Work with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, and Aurora. Implement backup, recovery, and database performance tuning best practices. Create solution design documents, runbooks, test cases, and deployment strategies. Review design, test results, and deployment documents to ensure best practices and compliance. Mentor and guide junior engineers, conducting knowledge-sharing sessions to upskill the team. Qualifications and Skills Required: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional 8+ years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, and automation. Hands-on experience in AWS cloud architecture, deployment strategies, and security controls. In-depth knowledge of AWS services, configurations, and best practices. Experience in AWS security best practices (IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, etc.). Strong experience in AWS deployment strategies and cloud migration. Expertise in CloudFormation (preferred) or Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Ability to enforce Policy as Code for security and compliance. Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, modifying pipelines for security, scalability, and automation. Knowledge of DevSecOps best practices for secure pipeline management. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), ECS, and Fargate for containerized workloads. Strong knowledge of serverless and microservices architectures. Experience implementing centralized logging solutions (CloudWatch, ELK, Fluentd). Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.
