C2C , sorry dont have flexibility this time Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with Business Intelligence (BI) Expertise Seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with a deep understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize our databases while driving data-centric decision-making across the organization. This role requires a blend of database administration skills and BI platform expertise, ensuring seamless data storage, retrieval, and reporting processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the performance, security, and reliability of critical database systems. You will play a key role in partnering with our BI team to design and improve our ETL, reporting, and warehouse. Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Database Management & Optimization: Administer, manage, and monitor complex database environments (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL, etc.). Implement database design, data modeling, and best practices for optimization and performance tuning. Oversee database backup, restoration, disaster recovery plans, and high-availability solutions. Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patch management. Ensure database security, user access management, and data integrity in compliance with security protocols. Collaborate with development and IT operations teams to support application deployment and infrastructure enhancements. Create and maintain database documentation, including system architecture, processes, and procedures. Analyze database performance metrics and proactively address issues related to performance, availability, and scalability. Support auditing, reporting, and compliance requirements in alignment with federal regulations and guidelines. Business Intelligence Development & Support: Design and maintain ETL processes for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading. Develop and manage data warehouses and OLAP cubes to support BI platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into BI solutions. Build and optimize reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to align database strategies with business goals. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for database design, queries, and BI architecture. Working knowledge of Python programming language for data analysis. Minimum Qualifications & Skills: 10+ years of professional experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on systems administration. Expertise in database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Proficiency in database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning. Experience with cloud-based database solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Strong understanding of database security protocols and best practices. Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) setups. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Power) for automation tasks. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and/or within a team. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications & Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, handling multiple priorities effectively. Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus. Certification in SQL Server, Oracle, or related platforms is highly desirable. Knowledge of Jupyter Notebook and Pandas library for data analysis in Python.
