The Data Center Engineer shall provide support with on-site as well as with dispatch personnel who shall rapidly respond to provide maintenance, replacement parts, and other services to maintain or restore services to their optimum performance level and availability. DescriptionA Data Center Technician or Engineer organizes data access, maintenance, and access support to a data center. Data center operations engineers are responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data center infrastructure. They collaborate closely with other teams to guarantee that the data center runs smoothly and efficiently, with high availability, reliability, and security. Their responsibilities include server deployment and maintenance, network connectivity management, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and data backup and recovery strategy implementation.Data center technicians install and maintain data servers and network equipment. Their duties include monitoring the day-to-day performance of servers, maintaining an optimally controlled environment for servers, and troubleshooting network and server problems. They may also be required to perform urgent repairs outside of business hours.The following list of essential duties and responsibilities are not meant to be all inclusive of this role. Implement and maintain server and network infrastructure. Monitor and optimize data center performance and capacity. Plan and execute data center migrations and upgrades. Manage vendor relationships and contracts for data center equipment and services. Conduct regular security audits and implement security measures to protect data center assets. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data center services with other systems. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the data center remains competitive and efficient. Install and configure new servers, storage devices, routers, switches, and other network components.
