As a technical visionary, you will drive the architecture of real-time payment systems, cross-border transactions, and fraud prevention mechanisms, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with financial industry standards. Your expertise will shape the next-generation banking ecosystem, ensuring robust fault-tolerant architectures that support seamless transaction integrity across diverse financial institutions. This role demands deep knowledge of legacy banking systems and modern payment architectures, enabling the delivery of enterprise-grade solutions that align with business objectives while adhering to banking regulations, security mandates, and emerging financial technologies. Key Responsibilities: Architect & Design: Lead the design, mapping, and governance of a multi-core banking orchestration system, ensuring interoperability between different financial entities. Payment Infrastructure: Define and implement real-time payment frameworks, including instant payments, cross-border transactions, and fraud prevention mechanisms. Enterprise Architecture Alignment: Design middleware solutions that seamlessly integrate with the enterprise banking vision, balancing immediate business needs with long-term scalability. Regulatory & Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial industry standards such as ISO 20022, PSD2, NACHA, SWIFT, FFIEC, FDX, AML, and KYC regulations. Transaction Resilience & Integrity: Develop fault-tolerant, high-availability banking solutions that ensure seamless transaction execution, auditability, and recovery. Financial Data Exchange (FDX) & Open Banking: Architect secure data-sharing frameworks to enhance financial interoperability while ensuring bank-grade security. Collaboration & Leadership: Serve as the technical cornerstone for mission-critical transaction history enhancements and next-gen banking solutions, partnering with engineering, compliance, and business teams to drive financial innovation. Required Qualifications & Skills: 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise banking & payment solutions. Expertise in core banking, payments architecture, real-time payments, and API-driven financial ecosystems. Experience working within large U.S. commercial and retail banks with a strong focus on payment processing and transaction management. Hands-on experience with U.S. banking payment systems, including ACH, FedNow, RTP (Real-Time Payments), Zelle, Wire Transfers, and Card Payments. Middleware & Integration Expertise: Strong knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), event-driven architectures, and microservices for financial transactions. Compliance & Security: Experience with U.S. banking regulations such as FFIEC guidelines, AML, KYC, PCI DSS, SOX, and Open Banking frameworks. Financial Data Exchange (FDX): Understanding of FDX API integration, tokenized authentication, and secure financial data transmission. Cloud & Distributed Systems: Experience in designing scalable, cloud-native banking solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP. Fraud Prevention & Risk Management: Knowledge of AI/ML-driven fraud detection, risk assessment models, and financial security solutions. Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership skills, with the ability to communicate complex architectures to both technical and business teams.
