They are the voice of the customer, stakeholder and end user in product development decisions; aligning feature and product requests with business value. The Senior Technical Product Owner works directly with various internal and external stakeholders, as well as with the Scrum teams to ensure successful translation of requirements into high-quality software. PERFORMANCE DETAILS 1. Whats the major objective(s) of the role Specifically, what does this person need to do to be considered a success What will they be working on a. Product Owner needs to have strong communications skills (verbal and written), this person must be able to communicate with stakeholders from various levels of the organization (individual contributors as well as leadership), must have the right attitude for this role (meaning must be able to manage/mitigate competing priorities, issues, roadblocks that may arise) to keep the team on track and deliver the project by scheduled date. Must be a person that can drive the work forward as well as roll up their sleeves and assist in getting tasks completed. b. This person will be working on a Salesforce project that is underway to build a Member Portal for the state of CA. The person will need to understand the project goals. They will lead meeting discussions, create user stories for product features ensuring that all requirements are documented and met by go live date of 6/30. The PO will drive and own the project backlog management; groom backlog of competing requests by evaluating the business value and/or ROI of each and prioritizing the scrum teams work. Accountable for managing scrum teams product backlog, sequencing into sprints, and ensuring that the development team is working on requests in the right order. c. The Product Owner will represent Salesforce-IT on the project and be required to update any requirements, document change requests, raise risks and issues and coordinate with others on the project to ensure the project is moving ahead as expected. If there are questions on Salesforce requirements, this person will be expected to investigate and coordinate a response. If any issues require additional discussions or collaboration, this person will be responsible to identify the appropriate resources to engage and facilitate calls, document key discussion points, and update any requirements while keeping the project team informed of progress. d. Additionally, the person will support the Salesforce team on production support triage and resolution of incidents and support other projects & initiatives as time permits. 2. What are the MUST HAVE technologies for this position (Please list must have technologies / technical skills and what the candidate needs to do in order to be considered great at them) 1. Azure DevOps or Jira/Confluence (or other Agile & Project Mgmt Tools) 2. 5 years' experience as an Agile Scrum Product Owner or similar roles. 4 years Scrum experience. 3. Proficiency in Excel including the ability to run complex formulas and functions including VLOOKUP, PivotTables and creating various charts 4. Release Management Process Has experience with Salesforce application release life cycle (working with the release engineers, manage deployments and dependencies) 5. Data-Driven Decision Making Knowledge of dashboards, reports and data insights to track product success and KPIs 3. Agile & Scrum Leadership Ability to own and prioritize the product backlog, define user stories, and collaborate effectively with Scrum teams to ensure timely delivery of features/project 2.Stakeholder & Cross Departments Coordination Proven ability to engage and align multiple teams, including IT, leadership and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity on goals, priorities and dependencies 3. Strong Communication & Problem-Solving Skills Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly (both verbally and in writing), navigate challenges, facilitate discussions, and drive resolutions to roadblocks. Must be a proactive problem solver with a solution oriented mindset 4. Adaptability & Issue Mitigation Ability to manage changing priorities, mitigate risk, and anticipate potential project blockers, ensuring the team remains on track while maintaining a collaborative and positive attitude 5.Workflow & Process Automation Experience in creating workflows, process automation artifacts, and documentation to support business and IT alignment Qualification 1. Salesforce experience or familiarity with SF Service Cloud, Salesforce Experience Cloud (Community Cloud), Salesforce Sales Cloud or related Customer Relationship Mgmt System (CRM) 2.
