Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in an enterprise environment with 12+ years of overall DBA experience. Strong understanding of PostgreSQL architecture, administration, and tuning. Experience with backup & recovery solutions such as pgBackRest, Barman, or similar tools. Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies. Hands-on experience with replication and high availability setups (e.g., Streaming Replication, Patroni, Pgpool-II, etc.). Knowledge of Linux administration and scripting for database automation. Familiarity with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions (AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, or Google Cloud SQL) is a plus. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Must be local to New Jersey and available to work onsite. Experience with database migration tools and strategies for PostgreSQL. Familiarity with NoSQL and other database technologies is a plus. Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is desirable. PostgreSQL certification is a plus.
