Position: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure SME Duration: 12+ months project, CTH Location: Onsite Mon-Thurs in The Woodlands, TX. No exceptions (Locals) Visa: USC/GC/H4/H1B Global engineering and environmental services company is starting a greenfield implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (Cloud ERP) and is building a new team to support the program. This global implementation will begin in Q1 2025, with the current implementation schedule expected to continue through 2027. One of the critical areas for the ERP implementation is designing and implementing the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment, capable of supporting the companys global business operations. The company needs a consultant with in-depth knowledge of OCI design and implementation strategies and best practices. For this project, OCI experience and expertise is needed that is specific to supporting the Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation. Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Provide expertise in the establishment of OCI design and implementation strategies and environment management best practices Engage and collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their business goals, technical requirements, and constraints, and provide expert guidance on OCI capabilities and best practices Design and implement Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions to support the Oracle Cloud ERP implementation Design and develop OCI cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, considering factors such as cost, performance, scalability, and security. Advise and work with ERP implementation teams, DevOps engineers, and IT operations to ensure smooth integration and delivery of cloud-based solutions. Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud provisioning, monitoring, and management tasks, with a particular focus on database and data integration processes Develop and maintain data integration processes and ETL pipelines to facilitate seamless data movement between different systems and databases Implement effective monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions on OCI to proactively identify and address performance issues and security threats. Ensure OCI solutions meet industry-standard security and compliance requirements, implementing security controls, encryption, and access management measures as necessary. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and mechanisms to ensure business continuity, with a special emphasis on data integrity Assess existing on-premises or cloud-based infrastructure and applications. Develop comprehensive migration strategies and execute plans to seamlessly transition them to OCI. Required Skills and Experience 10+ years of IT industry experience 5+ years experience of engineering, architecting, or supporting Oracle IaaS/PaaS solutions 4+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) architecture design, implementation, and management Demonstrated experience designing and managing OCI to support globally distributed business operations Demonstrated experience designing and managing OCI to support a global Oracle Cloud ERP environment In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and capabilities Experience designing, implementing and supporting OCI based instances and services (e.g. Compute, Network, Storage, Dockers, DBCS, ExaCS, ADW, ATP etc) Experience of building and maintaining scalable and auto-scaled environments using automation and configuration management tools Expertise in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, deployment, and automation. Expertise in OCI Data Integration (OCI DI), Golden Gate, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
