Job Title: Peoplesoft Techno-Functional HCM Payroll Testing Lead Job Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months Contract Experience: 12+ Years Exp. Visa: USC/GC/GC-EAD/H4-EAD/Only Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional HCM Payroll Testing Lead to support the transition from bi-weekly to semi-monthly payroll. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in PeopleSoft Payroll functions, payroll processing, testing, and validation. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate data conversion, system integrity, and payroll process validation. Key Responsibilities: Data Validation & Conversion: Analyze legacy HR data to assess structure, quality, and inconsistencies. Verify the accuracy of data mapping documents to ensure seamless transformation and loading into PeopleSoft. Collaborate with HR and IT teams to establish data cleansing rules and rectify quality issues. Execute validation scripts and reports to compare legacy system data with converted PeopleSoft data. Identify and document data conversion errors, working with technical teams to resolve issues. Perform post-conversion reconciliation to ensure data integrity across employee demographics, compensation, benefits, and HR functions. Testing: Develop test plans and test cases focusing on converted HR and payroll data. Design and execute test scripts to verify PeopleSoft HR module functionality post-conversion. Conduct functional testing for HR processes, including hiring, terminations, promotions, transfers, benefits enrollment, and payroll. Participate in integration testing to ensure seamless data flow between PeopleSoft and other systems. Assist HR users in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), providing support and guidance. Track and log defects, collaborating with SIS to resolve issues efficiently. Conduct regression testing to ensure system updates do not negatively impact converted data or payroll functionality. General Business Analyst Duties: Gather and document business requirements for HR data conversion and testing. Develop process maps for current and future state HR processes. Maintain project documentation, including data mapping, test scripts, and user manuals. Assist in training development and user training on new PeopleSoft functionality related to converted data. Qualifications: Extensive experience in PeopleSoft Payroll, HR modules, and data validation. Proven expertise in payroll testing, data conversion, and UAT. Strong knowledge of HR processes, data reconciliation, and PeopleSoft integration. Ability to analyze, document, and execute complex data conversion projects. Experience with test planning, execution, and defect tracking. Strong communication and collaboration skills, working with HR, IT, and technical teams. Prior experience supporting higher education or public sector projects (preferred but not required).
