Job Title: Azure Support Engineer with Disaster Recovery Knowledge Location: Fremont, CA (Onsite) Job Type: Contract Visa Type: H1B Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Azure Support Engineer with expertise in Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, support processes, and disaster recovery strategies. This position will involve supporting clients in managing and optimizing their Azure environments, ensuring system reliability, and implementing DR solutions to minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities: Provide advanced support for Azure infrastructure and services, resolving technical issues related to performance, availability, and functionality. Collaborate with customers to understand their Azure architecture and DR requirements. Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot disaster recovery plans in Azure, ensuring compliance with best practices. Assist in the deployment and management of Azure-based solutions with a focus on high availability and disaster recovery. Perform regular system health checks and disaster recovery tests to ensure readiness for potential disruptions. Monitor Azure environments and provide proactive support to avoid issues that could impact system performance. Provide documentation and training on disaster recovery strategies, tools, and practices for internal teams and customers. Work closely with cross-functional teams (including operations and engineering) to implement high-availability systems and DR solutions. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience with Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Expertise in Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, testing, and execution, specifically within the Azure ecosystem. Solid understanding of Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and other DR-related tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for cloud infrastructure-related issues. Experience with automation and scripting (Power, Azure CLI, ARM templates). Familiarity with networking, security, and governance within Azure. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills: Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are a plus. Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is advantageous. Knowledge of disaster recovery best practices and business continuity planning.
