In addition to live production databases, this role will also be supporting the development teams with designing schema, access patterns and other areas of database strategy. Primary areas of focus will be performance tuning and monitoring, cost analysis and management, data security and auditing, access administration and backup & recovery. 5+ years of DBA experience, 5+ on AWS. Work with SMP Lead DBA performing data base design and optimize platforms with primary focus of Postgress, Redshift, Dynamo DB with Oracle as a plus. Perform data base architecture for enterprise systems. Build and Monitor AWS Database Migration Service (DMS). Proficient in SQL, experience with backup and recovery, environment refresh Diagnose and troubleshoot database-related problems, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime Create, maintain, and administer AWS cloud databases in a highly available environment. Proactive tuning and maintenance of database systems for optimal performance Proactive cost analysis and tuning to maximize ROI. Monitoring with CloudWatch to ensure uptime and SLAs. Knowledge of CloudFormation and automation Administration of user access Manage database auditing and security.
