Job Title: Workday Cutover Lead (Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote) Contract Role Hybrid at GA Contract Role Position Type : Contract Remote Work: Partial (3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote) Primary Skills: Business Analysis, Project Management Job Description: The Workday Cutover Lead will lead the cutover planning and execution for the NextGen Workday Implementation. This position requires an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing large, complex ERP implementations, specifically Workday SaaS solutions. The Cutover Lead will oversee a cross-functional project team, providing a comprehensive organizational view of project dependencies, stakeholder management, and risk impacts. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and leadership skills, ensuring project milestones are met and risks are effectively mitigated. The role demands extensive experience in project management, release management, change management, and operations management. Responsibilities: Lead Cutover Planning and Execution : Manage the cutover planning and execution activities for the Workday implementation, collaborating with program teams, technical teams, and implementers. Develop Detailed Cutover Schedule : Build out a comprehensive cutover schedule, covering technical (reports, integration, security), functional (HCM, Payroll, Finance, Procurement), and OCM (communications, change management, training) tasks. Manage Dependencies and Risks : Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies related to cutover activities, ensuring progress toward on-time go-live. Coordinate with Cross-functional Teams : Work with system owners, business experts, and technical teams to ensure timely development and completion of cutover deliverables and milestones. Provide Reporting and Metrics : Deliver detailed cutover progress reports, including risk assessments, challenges, and mitigation strategies to ensure timely execution. Escalate Critical Issues : Identify and escalate potential issues that may impact the go-live date, ensuring prompt resolution. Drive Mock Cutover and Final Execution : Lead the mock cutover process and ensure smooth execution during the final cutover phase. Required Skills and Experience: Workday Experience : Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with Workday SaaS ERP implementations, with specific knowledge of HCM, Payroll, Finance, and Procurement modules. Project Management : At least 10 years of project management experience, ideally in a technical project management role. Implementation Leadership : Proven experience managing complex ERP projects, especially Workday, across multiple components. Change Management Expertise : Strong background in managing change processes and leading organizational transformation during the implementation phase. Release and Operations Management : Experience in release management and overseeing the operational activities associated with large-scale ERP rollouts. Education : Bachelors degree or equivalent in a relevant field. Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Documentation & Tools Expertise : Proficient in project management tools, documentation, and presentation tools. Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities. Leadership Skills : Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead teams across IT, business lines, and external stakeholders. Facilitation & Negotiation : Skilled in group facilitation, negotiation, and influencing decision-making at various levels Preferred Qualifications: Experience with public sector clients, especially state or government organizations. Expertise in cloud infrastructure architecture. Strong leadership in driving execution within diverse teams.
