This includes selecting appropriate technologies and tools, defining data models and schemas, and ensuring data lineage and quality. Drive data governance initiatives. Define and enforce data quality standards, manage data access controls, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Promote data literacy and self-service data access. Educate and empower business users to effectively discover, understand, and utilize data. Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders. Gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure alignment across the organization. Monitor and maintain the DataHub platform. Ensure optimal performance, identify and resolve issues, and continuously improve the platform's functionality and usability. Stay abreast of the latest data management technologies and best practices. Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and techniques to enhance the DataHub and improve data operations. Mentor and guide junior data professionals. Share knowledge and expertise, provide guidance and support, and foster a culture of continuous learning. Qualifications: Overall 15+ years Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or a similar role. Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lake architectures, and data integration principles. Experience with data cataloging tools (e.g., DataHub, Amundsen) is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with data modeling, data quality assessment, and data lineage tracking. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages. Experience with cloud platforms GCP is a plus. Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
