Google Cloud 2. AlloyDB Job Description/ Responsibilities Skilled GCP Cloud Engineer with expertise in AlloyDB to design, develop, and operationalize cloud-based services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, database management, and a deep understanding of GCP services and AlloyDB for PostgreSQL. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions using GCP services. Develop and manage AlloyDB for PostgreSQL instances, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization. Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and database services. Stay updated with the latest GCP and AlloyDB features and best practices. Required skills: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery. Expertise in AlloyDB for PostgreSQL, including deployment, configuration, and performance tuning Strong knowledge of cloud architecture principles and best practices Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Desired skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Terraform for automation is desired. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices GCP certification (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer). Experience with other database technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and VPNs.
