This role requires deep Expertise in software engineering, database administration, and federal financial systems, with a focus on ensuring system performance, integration, and operational continuity. Key Responsibilities: Application and Database Administration: Served as Lead DBA for CBS Tech Refresh projects, including installation, configuration, and integration with WebLogic and Oracle Fusion Middleware. Oversee ongoing operations, maintenance, and performance tuning of CBS databases and infrastructure. Configure and maintain NOAAs CBS Disaster Recovery environment, including replication of production databases. Data Integration and Management: Utilize Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) to manage data integration processes. Execute ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) activities to support NOAAs data warehousing and reporting requirements. Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and availability for decision-making processes. System Architecture and Design: Participate in the design and implementation of system architecture improvements for scalability and reliability. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize Oracle-based solutions for enhanced performance. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans. Conduct regular disaster recovery testing to ensure operational readiness and system resilience. Quality Assurance and Testing: Lead internal QA processes to ensure code quality and compliance with NOAA standards. Support BAS integration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and interface testing. Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 2 technical support for CBS and BAS-related issues. Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to technical challenges.
