The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting C and Java-based system, along with experience in migrating and modernizing legacy applications when necessary. Responsibilities: Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance an existing legacy application written in C and Java. Debug and resolve performance, stability, and security issues in the application. Analyze legacy code and provide documentation to support ongoing development and maintenance. Develop and implement fixes, patches, and enhancements while ensuring minimal disruption to production systems. Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions. Optimize and refactor code to improve maintainability and performance. Support migration initiatives, including modernizing components and integrating with newer technologies where applicable. Collaborate with QA teams to validate fixes and enhancements. Provide production support, including root cause analysis and issue resolution. Required Skills & Experience: 10+ years of experience in software development with C/C++ and Java in a production environment. Strong understanding of legacy application architecture and experience with maintaining existing codebases. Experience with multi-threading, memory management, and performance optimization in C and Java. Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments, scripting, and system debugging tools. Experience working with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL (SQL queries, stored procedures, optimization). Knowledge of J2EE, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, and legacy frameworks such as Struts. Exposure to Spring (Core, Boot, MVC) and Hibernate is a plus. Experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST) and integrating legacy applications with modern platforms. Understanding of Version Control Systems (Git, SVN, etc.). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on debugging complex legacy code.
