P&C Insurance exp in past 3 years is a must with more than 5 years of experience in P&C Job Title: Sr. Project Manager H1B only Send best people possible Location: REMOTE, must be comfortable working EST hours 6mth contract to start with, option to extend from there Our client is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join the Portfolio and Project Management Group. As a Sr. Project Manager, you will be part of the supporting the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong IT Project Management background, experience leading Software Development & Systems Integration projects, strong Waterfall experience, the initiative to drive multiple projects to completion, which will align successfully in the organization. Must-have, required skills Need a seasoned PM that will drive projects to completion and have great communication skills Need to be a PM in their current position (NOT looking for program manager, product managers, agile coaches, scrum masters etc.) Need to have experience managing budget NEED strong waterfall experience (NOT Agile/Scrum) 10+ years of experience in project management P&C Insurance exp in past 3 years is a must with more than 5 years of experience in P&C Particular Experience Requested: IT Project Management delivering application development (SDLC), COTS implementations/integration projects. IT Project Management experience with strong experience driving (multiple ie. 3 or more) projects to completion Experience with Microsoft Project/Project Server PMP Certification is preferred (will consider submitting candidates without one but not at max rate) Whats the Job Manages IT projects from start to finish. Projects may consist of one or a combination of implementation or customizations of commercial off-the-shelf insurance software applications; system integrations; software upgrades Manages at up to three (3) or more projects simultaneously, depending on project complexity, duration and lifecycle phase. Average duration of most projects is 6 8 months. Manages a project team of matrixed resources. Resolves challenges presented by resource and schedule availability in matrixed organizations (project team members, including the PM, are rarely 100% dedicated to a single project). Builds a project schedule in MS Project/Project Server that is effort-driven and auto-scheduled. Whats Needed 5-7+ years of current project management experience delivering IT projects with a minimum budget of $150K. Experience directly managing and forecasting project financials (reconciling invoices, timekeeping, etc.) Has successfully delivered/managed IT projects from start to finish with timelines less than 1 year (ideally 4-6 projects w/ in a 6-8 months timeframe) Must have experience with MS Project 2016; MS Project Server is desired but not required. Must have experience delivering projects in Waterfall methodology. Experience managing vendors, requesting and executing SOWs. Demonstrates a personal sense of urgency to complete day-to-day work. Must drive for results from self and project team members. Must know when to push back on perceived limitations and when to be flexible and accept the limitation. Exercises strong leadership capabilities; presents executive presence especially when delivering difficult messages to stakeholders and leaders; calm and collected under pressure; takes accountability for entire project and outcomes.
