From: Srinivas, Nitya INC [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Hybrid Cloud Engineer/Architect (AWS & On-Prem) Location: Boston , MA Onsite Only Locals Job Summary: We are seeking a Hybrid Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in AWS services (EKS, ECS, FSx, NAS) and on-premises storage and compute infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing hybrid cloud solutions, ensuring seamless integration between on-prem and AWS environments. Key Responsibilities: Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud storage solutions, including AWS FSx, NAS, and on-premises storage architectures. Deploy and maintain AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service) and EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) for containerized workloads. Ensure efficient data synchronization and integration between on-prem and AWS storage solutions. Develop and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and backup strategies across hybrid environments. Networking & Security: Architect secure hybrid cloud environments, ensuring compliance with industry security standards. Manage VPC peering, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and VPNs for secure on-premises and AWS connectivity. Implement IAM roles, security groups, and encryption for storage and compute resources. Automation & Performance Optimization: Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automated deployments. Monitor and optimize hybrid cloud performance using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage latency, networking bottlenecks, and container orchestration. Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to align cloud strategies. Document best practices, architectural decisions, and troubleshooting guides. Provide technical leadership and training to internal teams on hybrid cloud management. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in cloud and on-prem infrastructure design, deployment, and management. Expertise in AWS services, particularly ECS, EKS, FSx, and NAS. Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud storage solutions (NetApp, Dell EMC ECS, Pure Storage, etc.). Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Power. Proficiency in Kubernetes (EKS, OpenShift, or On-Prem K8s clusters). Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including Direct Connect, VPNs, and hybrid network architectures. Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools. Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible. Solid understanding of backup, DR, and high availability strategies in hybrid cloud environments. Experience with logging and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack). Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Advanced Networking, or AWS DevOps). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies. Hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, Google Cloud).
