Currently we are looking for Metadata Specialist/ Platform Engineer with 8+ years of experience. Job Title: Metadata Specialist/ Platform Engineer Location: Columbus or akron, OH, Minneapolis, MN & MI (relocations acceptable) 6+ months Rate: 65/hr on c2c ASG alternate tools (Collibra & Alation) Main skill needed ASG or Collibra & Alation No GC, OPT , CPT 8+ yrs will work Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer who will be part of ASG Data Intelligence Admin, who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the metadata infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and accessibility across the enterprise. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to assess metadata management needs, translating them into actionable requirements, and configuring our ASG toolset for optimal data governance and integration. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain the ASG Data Intelligence metadata management tool. Install and upgrade the Data Intelligence platform (Rochade, Becubic, etc). Install and upgrade new scanners. Administer global search and index service within the Data Intelligence tool. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather metadata requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives. Configure and customize ASG Data Intelligence to meet specific metadata management needs. Develop and enforce metadata standards, policies and procedures. Administer business glossaries and contexts, creating user roles in Metability. Conduct metadata quality assessments and implement remediation strategies as needed. Debug and problem solve production issues. Support continuous improvement by identifying and solving opportunities. Communicate status, issues and blockers with leadership. Provide training and support to end-users on metadata management best practices, data governance policies and ASG Data Intelligence usage. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in metadata management and data governance. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 4 years of experience in metadata management, administering data catalog, data governance, data lineage, data privacy, and data quality capabilities. Experience with data governance frameworks, policies and procedures. Experience with robust ETL processes. Strong understanding of the data lifecycle, data flows, data modeling, data architecture, and database design. Strong understanding of metadata concepts, standards, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and a diverse group of stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong organization skills and the ability to work independently as well as with a team. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications in metadata management or ASG Data Intelligence. Proficiency in administering and configuring ASG Data Intelligence (Rochade, Becubic, etc). 2+ years of experience in API development. Experience in financial services (banking) industry.
