Job Description: Java Developer with Database Programming Expertise We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with a strong focus on database programming to join our team. This role emphasizes expertise in database development and optimization, with Java programming serving as a secondary skill. Primary Responsibilities: Database Development: Design and develop database triggers, constraints, and custom scripts to ensure efficient and reliable data management. Work experience with PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora . Create custom solutions to address gaps in tooling (Amazon DMS may not be the preferred be and will need to assist custom tailoring a migration option) ORM Tools and Frameworks: Work with tools such as Hibernate, Flyway , and other JPA frameworks for database interaction and migration. CDK (Cloud Development Kit): Apply a developers mindset to implement CDK solutions, demonstrating the ability to code beyond basic administrative tasks. Secondary Responsibilities: Support Java Development Collaborate on broader system and application development initiatives while maintaining a primary focus on database-centric tasks. Key Skills and Qualifications: Database Expertise: Proven experience in writing and managing triggers, constraints, and advanced database scripting. Strong understanding of relational database systems and optimization techniques. Java Development: Proficiency in Java, with the ability to work effectively in a developer role when needed. ORM and Migration Tools: Hands-on experience with Hibernate, Flyway, and other JPA-related tools. CDK Implementation: Demonstrated ability to implement CDK solutions with a developer mindset.
