Job Description: Enterprise Architect Cloud Platform Tools and Migration
Position Overview: We are looking for a seasoned Enterprise Architect to lead and drive a large-scale middle office transformation program for a leading wealth management firm. This pivotal role involves defining cloud architecture, evaluating and selecting tools, ensuring regulatory compliance managing vendor relationships, and overseeing the entire migration process. The Enterprise Architect will work closely with business, technical, and compliance teams to ensure a seamless migration to the cloud, enabling the insurance platform to scale enterprise-wide and support future digital initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Migration Strategy and Enterprise Architecture
Develop a comprehensive cloud migration strategy and roadmap tailored to insurance operations, focusing on scalability, high availability, and operational resilience.
Define and implement cloud architecture standards, principles, and reference models to support a secure and efficient cloud-based platform.
Engage with stakeholders across business and IT to gather requirements, prioritize workloads, and outline a phased migration plan.
Guide the organization in building cloud-native capabilities and adapting legacy applications to the cloud environment.
Tool Evaluation and Platform Selection
Identify, evaluate, and select tools required for enterprise-wide cloud operations, including DevOps, monitoring, cost management, security, and data integration tools.
Conduct proofs-of-concept (POCs) and performance testing to ensure tools meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with vendors and resellers to obtain competitive pricing, assess licensing models, and negotiate terms favorable to the organization.
Regulatory Compliance and Security Standards
Ensure that the cloud architecture and selected tools comply with the regulations and other industry standards.
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to implement controls that address data residency, encryption, identity and access management, and logging.
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, mitigating compliance risks in the process.
Cost Analysis, Licensing, and Financial Planning
Perform detailed cost-benefit analysis, including licensing costs, usage tiers, and projected savings, to optimize budget allocations.
Prepare financial proposals, ROI analyses, and cost transparency reports for stakeholder review and approval.
Work with procurement and finance teams to track and manage costs throughout the migration process, ensuring alignment with budget objectives.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain relationships with tool vendors, service providers, and resellers to facilitate contract negotiations and ongoing support.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that the tools, services, and licensing plans align with business needs and technical requirements.
Act as a liaison to streamline communications between technical teams, compliance officers, and vendor representatives, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution.
Project Management and Migration Execution
Oversee the migration project lifecycle, from planning and resource allocation to risk management and delivery tracking.
Ensure project milestones are met, manage dependencies, and proactively identify potential risks or delays in the migration schedule.
Conduct regular updates for leadership and key stakeholders, highlighting project progress, challenges, and decision-making requirements.
Documentation, Knowledge Sharing, and Best Practices Development
Document architectural decisions, migration plans, compliance checks, and cost analyses to support decision-making and future reference.
Develop and disseminate best practices for cloud adoption, regulatory compliance, and enterprise architecture.
Mentor and provide guidance to internal teams on cloud architecture, migration strategies, and tools usage to foster a knowledge-sharing culture.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant cloud certifications preferred.
12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, focusing on cloud platform migrations and architectural transformation within the insurance or financial services industry.
In-depth knowledge of cloud environments specially GCP, AWS/ Azure, microservices architecture, and cloud-native design patterns.
Proven experience in regulatory compliance frameworks, with specific expertise and data privacy requirements.
Strong vendor management skills, including contract negotiation and relationship building with resellers.
Proficiency in cost analysis, financial planning, and optimizing cloud licensing models.
Exceptional project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
