This is a senior-level role responsible for key business areas within the finance department. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leaders across Finance, Transitions, and Essilor Luxottica organizations, and serve as a key finance partner for General Business Services. This position requires a dynamic individual who can provide financial leadership and drive performance across a variety of functions. Key Responsibilities: Monthly Closing Process Management: Prepare and review journal entries, analyze actual results versus budget and forecast, perform account reconciliations, and provide updated reports to business managers. Commercial Activity Accounting: Oversee accounting for all commercial activities, including customer accounts (sales, incentives/rebate agreements, and COOP marketing funds), selling, and marketing activities. Review contracts and spend requests to ensure alignment with budgets and forecasts. Collaborate with Selling & Marketing managers to anticipate and support business needs, ensuring compliance with IFRS guidelines. Maintain a financial model for efficient data capture and reporting across various functions, regions, and accounts. Financial Leadership: Drive net margin optimization across all areas. Ensure a strong internal control environment and recommend improvements as necessary, maintaining compliance with EssilorLuxottica MCS guidelines. Lead departmental efforts and cross-functional initiatives as business needs evolve. Sales Tax Reporting and Compliance: Manage sales tax reporting and compliance efforts. Collaborate with Essilors sales tax team, external consultants, and state taxing authorities during audits or when issues arise. Project Support and Cross-Training: Assist in additional projects as required. Cross-train in other areas to maximize departmental flexibility and efficiency. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance. 6-8 years in the Accounting/Finance department of a multinational company. Strong analytical, self-motivated, and customer-focused skills. Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable information. Proven track record in building relationships across organizational functions. Excellent Excel and financial systems proficiency. Highly organized with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines, especially during month-end and budgeting periods. Preferred Qualifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant). MBA (Master of Business Administration).
