Local candidates familiar with the Chicago area and banking environment are preferred.Key Responsibilities: Business Requirement Gathering: Work with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new banking systems, enhancements, or processes. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze banking data, generate reports, and provide insights to improve business decision-making processes. Process Mapping & Optimization: Map existing business processes and propose solutions for process improvements, ensuring alignment with banking industry standards. System Design & Functional Specifications: Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications for banking software solutions. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements and expectations. Testing & Validation: Coordinate and conduct testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure that banking systems meet business needs and perform as expected. Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: Ensure that all solutions and projects comply with relevant banking regulations, policies, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, SOX). Project Support: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of banking projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Training & Documentation: Provide training to end-users and create user manuals/documentation for banking systems and processes. Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities to improve banking processes, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance customer experience.Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or related field. At least 4-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a strong focus on banking or financial services. Solid understanding of banking operations and core banking systems (e.g., loan management, payment processing, risk management, etc.). Experience working with regulatory compliance, KYC, AML, and other banking industry standards. Strong experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and creating functional specifications.
