Cloud Database PaaS Engineer Rate: 55/hr Visa restrictions: none Location: vanderbilt NY, need to be hybrid onsite 3 days a week and mandatory in person interviews (NY Locals ONLY - DL should be submitted along with resume) Job Title: Public Cloud Database PaaS Engineer Department Overview: The Public Cloud Database PaaS Service is responsible for the solution engineering, design, optimization, integration, automation, and maintenance of popular Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure (AZ) database PaaS services, such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, No-SQL, and Redis. Key responsibilities include R&D for introducing public cloud PaaS to the TD environment, DevOps pipeline development, and ongoing maintenance, optimization, and enhancement. Job Description: Engineering covers a broad range of exercises and initiatives including requirements gathering, design specification, industry analysis, vendor engagement and analysis, software development, test plans and execution, and operational standards implementation. We are looking for a candidate with strong Google and Azure cloud architecture, pipeline automation experience, and database knowledge. The candidate will provide expertise in database PaaS service design, security, performance, integration, and pipeline development using infrastructure as code while adhering to architecture, engineering, and security standards. Job Requirements: Required Skills: Strong experience working with DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions and Terraform. Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development with Terraform. Working experience with Python in an Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) context. Strong working knowledge of Networking, Linux, and Windows operating systems. Experience working with Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure public clouds. Strong problem troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Ability to quickly learn and develop expertise in highly complex existing applications and architectures. Knowledge of security best practices and Active Directory. Experience with Agile methodologies. Experience with database PaaS such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, No-SQL, and Redis . Technical Skills: Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, No-SQL, and Redis. Terraform - minimum of 3 years. GitHub Actions. Python - 3 years. Azure CLI/Google Cloud .
