XSLT experience is highly important, so more preference needs to be given to candidates who has done it. If they havent done it, ask them about xml transformation and how they have done complex xml transformations. Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backend Java Lead Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems with a focus on microservices architecture, PostgreSQL, and AWS cloud services. As a lead developer, you will guide a team of engineers, ensure technical excellence, and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality solutions. Responsibilities : Lead the design, development, and implementation of backend solutions using Java, microservices architecture, and AWS cloud services. Oversee the integration and management of PostgreSQL databases, ensuring performance optimization and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers, to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions. Mentor and guide team members, conducting code reviews, and promoting best practices in coding, design patterns, and testing. Ensure the development of secure, maintainable, and efficient codebases. Design and implement RESTful APIs for efficient communication between microservices and client applications. Implement and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL), Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudFormation. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability and uptime. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into the development process. i Required Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience: 7+ years and 10+ years of experience in backend development with Java 4+ years of hands-on experience in microservices architecture Expertise in PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and database performance tuning. 3+ years of experience working with AWS services in a production environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar. Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL), Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudFormation. Experience with RESTful API design and implementation. Knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar. Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes) Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git. Strong understanding of software design principles, SOLID principles, and design patterns. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. having angular experience is BIG plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading or managing a team of developers. Exposure to Agile development methodologies. Knowledge of additional databases or data processing tools is a plus (e.g., Redis, Cassandra). AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer are a plus.
