Position : Data Scientist Location: Remote Duration : Long Term Mode of Interview : Telephonic/Video Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources, including patient billing, insurance claims, and hospital financial records. Develop and implement algorithms to identify averages in payments and discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations. Analyze and review historic data, claims, collection rates, and related Accounts Receivables (AR) data, including collections and payments. Analyze data to determine relevant variables and inputs for predicting/forecasting collection rates. Create predictive models to forecast financial trends, identify potential issues, and optimize resource allocation. Work closely with finance, IT, and clinical teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights. Required Skills: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in a healthcare setting. Experience with financial Accounts Receivables and reconciliation processes is a plus. Proficiency in programming languages such as Excel macros, Python, SQL, and Snowflake, with experience in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Strong understanding of statistical models, methods, algorithms, and data processing techniques. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, PII, PHI).
