Role: INTERIM ASSISTANT DIRECTOR-HRIS Location: Remote Comm and presentation skills are going to be SUPER important for this role. ERP Implementation: Transitioning from PeopleSoft to Workday. Peter is currently handling dual functions and is stretched thin. The role involves supporting day-to-day operations and representing the HR Leadership Team (HRLT). 90% of the team is focused on the ERP project, with some roles backfilled. The candidate should have a skill set ranging from entry-level to expert and be capable of leading the team. Role Details: Remote position, with local candidates being a plus. Involves integrations with UKG, HealthStream, BCBS, Harvard Pilgrim, Workhuman, Fidelity, and Corerity OH systems. Managing day-to-day integrations and a team of 4 FTEs (ranging from entry-level to expert). Industry preference: healthcare and academia. Required experience: 7 years. From a project scope perspective, ideally, he is looking for someone: - Who is a Peoplesoft Expert knows the ins and outs of the system - Keeping the lights on - Had led/manage a team of individual (4 FTEs total ranging from entry level to senior) - Handling tickets - Managing integration files - Someone who can put out fires daily that people cause - Someone who is well-versed in Peoplesoft Query GENERAL SUMMARY: During the time of the ERP Implementation, the Interim Assistant Director, HRIS serves as the point of contact for the day-to-day operations of the HRIS function within Human Resources. The Assistant Director, with a consistent connection to the Director of HRIS during the time shall manage HR Information Systems and ensures that data pertaining to the workforce is meaningful and securely available. The Interim Assistant Director will have oversight of HRIS Operations, the HRIS Product team and HRIS Analytics and Reporting during the time of the ERP Implementation. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the operations of the Institutes HR systems and all data needs associated with Dana-Farbers workforce. Leads efforts to integrate diverse data sources and systems to provide stakeholders with efficient and meaningful solutions, and to comply with compliance expectations. Plans, monitors and manages HRIS projects that are approved by executive steering committee during the ERP implementation from initiation through completion, partnering with Information Services to attain successful outcomes. Utilizes formal processes and tools to manage project resources, risks and changes. Demonstrates sophisticated skills in identifying and engaging key stakeholders, and in identifying and managing issues, risks and dependencies. Manages the team responsible for providing consulting and support including researching and resolving technology problems and unexpected results or process flaws and ensuring scheduled activities. Sets and holds to service expectations for self and staff. Works with internal HR team and outside departments to identify and implement: Analytics and Reporting needs (organization to department level) Opportunities to leverage data for decision support Manages staff that coordinates and is accountable for information feeds to outside vendors. Drives integration and integrity related to remote systems and ties to PeopleSoft information for reporting and statistical analysis. Must be a strong partner with Payroll/Finance, IS and other departments to accomplish and maintain interfaces between PeopleSoft and other Dana-Farber systems to maintain integration and efficiency/ Other duties as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to: Director, HRIS and a dotted line to the VP, Human Resources Operations when the Director might be unavailable during the ERP implementation. The Interim Assistant Director will be responsible for the direct supervision of the HRIS team. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: ( Education, certifications, years of experience ) B.A./B.S. preferably in Human Resource Management or a related field. Minimum 10 years of recent technology experience with HR Management/Information Systems . HRIS Implementation experience is required. 10+ years HRIS experience and creating high performance project teams. 10+ years PeopleSoft HRMS system experience required. Extensive hands-on PeopleSoft experience. Experience with Oracle Fusion Goals and Performance is a plus. Experience with project management, business process management, online systems, including HR applications, and database management systems KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Superior relationship building skills and capability and ability to thrive in a complex, highly-matrixed environment Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on attention to detail Ability to facilitate meetings related to information/data needs and translate those needs to others who develop the specifications that outline HRIS system requirements Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills able to speak the detail but present in executive summary framework Familiarity with information system capabilities and trends Depth in understanding issues specific to faculty, including grant allocations, highly desired Ability to handle stress of multiple requests, prioritize, communicate and remain calm through it all KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Experience with expertise with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 or later preferred Experience with Oracle Fusion (performance), iCIMS (recruiting), or other systems for those functions Exemplary analytical skills with strong attention to detail Ability to work well independently or as part of a team Ability to follow a defined business process improvement methodology and use technology to drive tangible results Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities Expert skills in SQL, PeopleSoft Query, Crystal Reports and other applications required to develop and support complex reporting and analysis.
