Position: RF Hardware Engineer
Location: Murray Hill, NJ- Onsite
Duration: 10 Months +

Note : Mandatory experience: Looking for RF Hardware Engineer not Technician who has a strong L1 Physical Layer Expertise that can handle RF Optimization of Outdoor Small Cells in FFA Field Trials.

Key Responsibilities / Functions:
Work as a key member of the AIOSC Small Cell HW support and feature team
Experience with design and test skills specifically related to outdoor small-cell products.
Expertise with FCC/CE/ICS Regional Regulatory Compliance testing to ensure Small Cell products meet required specifications. Specifically needs knowledge of requirements of N79 for North America and C Band for North America, Europe and Japan customers.
Expertise with L1 Physical Layer Expertise that can handle RF Optimization of Outdoor Small Cells in FFA Field Trials.
Sustaining / current engineering for the hardware (HW) designs (RF, Digital, Power, Thermal, Mechanical) of the Small Cell assets produced by Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs).
Work with Nokia system architecture teams on the HW design for future next generation 5G Small Cell products. Work with ODM Design teams on new indoor and outdoor Small Cell variants of existing platform.
Isolate and fix RF, Digital, Mechanical and/or Power circuit issues found by end customer, field test teams and by internal test teams such as OTA, FI and ST.
Complete unit level and design verification testing of all HW design changes.
Work closely with the ODM development team and test leads to review HW designs (schematics, layouts, mechanicals, antennas) and factory test coverage and results.
Work closely with Qualcomm Layer1 Software teams and Nokia Software teams on HW and factory calibration interactions with platform software. Nokia PJM, software, test and PLM to develop test plans/schedules and understand low level requirements
Work with 3rd party hardware suppliers to integrate their products into Small Cell designs.

Product Description:
The Nokia Small Cell organization provides products for indoor and outdoor small cell applications of 3G, 4G and 5G carriers in multiple radio frequency (RF) bands.
The products are in full GA deployments with ATT, T-Mobile and other worldwide customers.
New customers will be entering trials in 2025.
There is a future roadmap for new HW variants and designs.
Essential Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge):
10+ years experience in Hardware Product Design (RF, Digital, Power, Thermal and Mechanical) for Wireless Telecommunications Indoor and Outdoor Small Cell products
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and work effectively within a team.
Ability to work closely with ODM Factory Design, Product Management, Customer and Field Support teams.
Experience in Lead Radio Hardware Design and Development roles (RF, Digital, Mechanical, Power).
