Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Location: Quincy, Boston (Hybrid)_local preferred Job Type: Contract Experience 9 to 12 years Primary Skill : Java, Python , AWS, and Airflow Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Java, Python, AWS, and Apache Airflow to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Apache Airflow. Build and optimize data workflows and transformations in Python and Java. Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, EMR, ECS, etc.). Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across distributed systems. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, optimizing for performance and reliability. Work closely with data science and engineering teams to integrate data solutions. Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automation. Maintain API integrations for seamless data exchange across platforms. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend development. Expertise in Java and Python, with experience in building scalable applications. Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for scheduling and workflow automation. Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, Athena, etc.). Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, etc.). Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) is a plus. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: AWS certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics). Experience in machine learning pipelines and data lake architectures. Knowledge of streaming data pipelines using Kafka or Kinesis.
