NJM is client on-site 3 days a week in West Trenton, NJ Green card & Citizen only KFORCE The SQL Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the ongoing availability of SQL Server systems, both on-premises and in the cloud (AWS SQL Server and Azure SQL). The DBA will take ownership of the complete understanding and optimization of multiple database products, ensuring their performance, security, and reliability. Responsibilities: Maintain and ensure the availability of SQL Server systems, including on-premises, AWS, and Azure environments Monitor system performance and implement necessary security updates and patches Optimize and manage multiple database products to ensure high performance and efficiency Quickly learn new product platforms and database technologies; Stay updated with the latest industry trends in database management Improve standard practices and procedures within the team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness; Develop and implement best practices for database management Troubleshoot and solve database-related issues effectively; Provide timely and efficient resolution to database problems Continuously work to acquire deep skills in relevant DBA areas; Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical expertise Ensure the database platform meets the application's requirements Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies Perform database design tasks, including schema design, indexing, and normalization; Ensure database designs meet performance and scalability requirements Maintain team's documentation and make updates and improvements as needed; Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date Capacity planning of databases and regular performance assessments and implement tuning measures Write and optimize T-SQL scripts for automating administrative tasks; Ensure scripts are efficient and maintainable Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or IT related field 6+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 3+ years of experience with native Azure SQL Database Understand the infrastructure environment and independently support an application's database platform Solid proficiency in backup and recovery options Thanks & Regards, ADARSH PATERIYA Technical Recruiter Office: +1 (703) 570-8775 Ext No-(231) Email- [email protected] Keywords: information technology New Jersey SQL Database Administrator on-site 3 days a week in West Trenton, NJ [email protected] |
