Position : Salesforce Developer Location : Long Island City, NY hybrid Duration: 6+ months Visa: Only USC/GC Interview: Video Job Description: A NYC agency located in Long Island City, NY is looking for a Salesforce Developer. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet business needs. Overview : The agency is embarking on a data modernization initiative to accelerate its data strategy. During the COVID-19 pandemic, data was the life blood of the agencys response to making informed data-driven decisions and policies that directly impacts the lives of New Yorkers. These included operational data in our vaccination campaign at the Vaccine Hubs, distribution strategy throughout the citys vaccine infrastructure, as well as health equity data breaking down lab tests, positive cases, hospitalizations, deaths, and vaccination rates by age, place, and race. The agency is embarking on a data modernization initiative to move from siloed and brittle public health data systems to connected, resilient, adaptable, and sustainable systems. This initiative is not just about technology, but also about putting the right people, processes, and policies in place. The agency's modernization strategy focuses on key areas in data collection, storage, processing (including transformation, standardization, matching, deduplication), data integration and exchange, data analysis and data reporting and visualization The DMI initiative will allow the agency to build up foundational technology capabilities within the Division of Information Technology. This includes increasing capacity, knowledge, and experience with Azure cloud technologies within the broader NYC cloud and cybersecurity infrastructure and all within the context of public health. Job Duties: Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications. Customize and configure Salesforce applications to meet business needs, including creating custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules. Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems using APIs and middleware. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce applications, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, code comments, and user guides. Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices, and implement improvements as necessary. Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for coding, testing, and deployment. Qualifications and Requirements: 4+ years of experience as a software developer. 1-2 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer At least 4 years of experience with .NET Framework 3.5 or higher and IIS 7.5 or higher. At least 4 years of experience writing complex queries in T-SQL. At least 4 years of experience developing reports using SSRS. 4 Experience developing web applications in C# using MVC, XML, and creating and consuming WCF/REST services/WebAPI. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives within timeline.
