The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, with a focus on the design, configuration, and deployment of cutting-edge security solutions for our global client base. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of both hardware and software systems, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. As part of this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security systems, analyze industry trends, and ensure compliance with government regulations and best practices. You will also contribute to continuous improvements, ensuring that systems and processes remain robust and effective. Key Responsibilities Design & Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of new access control and CCTV systems, including making hardware and software recommendations. System Configuration & Installation: Install, configure, and maintain commercial electronic security systems such as door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, electronic locks, low-voltage communication, and more. Virtual Machine Management: Design, implement, and manage virtual machine environments across VMware, Hyper-V, or cloud platforms, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. Network Infrastructure: Troubleshoot and configure complex network infrastructures, with expertise in TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and network security. System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure compliance with codes and system functionality. Technical Support & Training: Provide ongoing technical support and training for internal teams and clients, ensuring effective use of installed systems. Documentation: Develop and maintain thorough documentation on system configurations, code, and hardware setups. Continuous Improvement: Analyze system changes and propose enhancements to improve overall performance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and operating procedures. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams to address issues with deployed solutions, identifying and implementing improvements. Testing & Knowledge Transfer: Participate in end-to-end testing, knowledge transfer, and mentoring of support teams. Methodology & Frameworks: Work effectively under various project methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in the installation and programming of security systems, including: Access Control: AMAG, Genetec (required), Lenel Video Management: Genetec (required), Axis, Avigilon Intrusion Detection: DMP, Bosch Experience installing security systems software on servers (e.g., Genetec, Lenel, Salient, Omnicast, Synergis). Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience configuring various security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection. Certifications: Genetec certifications are preferred. Compliance & Best Practices: Demonstrated experience adhering to compliance standards and best practices for security platforms. Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle is preferred. Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements and shifting priorities. Skills & Competencies Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
