This role will be responsible for defining technical architecture, guiding development teams, and ensuring best practices in database design, performance optimization, and application development. The ideal candidate will provide strategic technical direction, mentor developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and maintainable solutions. Key Responsibilities: Architecture & Development Define and design robust, scalable, and high-performance Oracle PL/SQL architectures. Develop, optimize, and maintain Oracle SQL and PL/SQL applications, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages. Conduct system architecture reviews and contribute to strategic design discussions. Establish and enforce software development best practices to improve efficiency and reduce technical debt. Oversee the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) across different stages (DEV, QA, UAT, Production). Technical Leadership & Mentorship Lead multiple projects, business queues, or development teams as an architect and technical leader. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in at least three technical and business domains. Provide technical direction to development teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards, architecture principles, and design patterns. Mentor and coach senior and junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Conduct peer code reviews and provide guidance on best practices. Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues in a timely manner. Optimize SQL queries and database performance for improved efficiency and scalability. Collaborate with DBAs, network engineers, and IT teams to resolve application performance bottlenecks. Debug and provide quick, effective solutions for production-related issues. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions. Act as a bridge between development teams, business users, and IT infrastructure teams. Participate in technical discussions, architecture planning, and IT strategy meetings. Present technical solutions to business leaders and contribute to strategic IT decisions. Compliance & Continuous Learning Ensure compliance with company policies, security guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and Oracle best practices. Participate in workshops, conferences, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Complete all required company training and compliance courses. Required Qualifications Education & Experience Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 12+ years of experience in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL development. Proven experience leading architecture, projects, development teams, or business queues. Subject matter expert in at least three technical and business domains. 5+ years of experience mentoring and leading development teams. Strong track record of technical leadership and strategic planning. Technical Skills Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development. Deep understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS). Strong experience in SQL query optimization and performance tuning. Proficiency in system architecture design, strategic planning, and solution scalability. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN). Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in production environments. Knowledge of software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps). Soft Skills & Leadership Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent mentorship and leadership skills, with a proven ability to guide technical teams. Ability to define and implement technical strategies aligned with business objectives. Effective time management and ability to handle multiple priorities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with Oracle PL/SQL development tools (Toad for Oracle, SQL Developer, etc.). Experience with ETL processes and data migration strategies. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation. Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Industry experience in hospitality or vacation ownership is a plus. Additional Information This position requires strong leadership and may involve supervisory responsibilities. Candidates must be authorized to work in the specified region. Occasional travel may be required.
