Role: SAP Project Manager Type: Contract Location: Onsite in Rahway, NJ Duration: Long term contract SAP Project Manager Job Description/ Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and track of all production-related activities required to support successful deployments Besides the regular project management skills and expertise, should have an understanding of SAP and Tax engine, prior experience with tax upgrades Implementation planning and dependency analysis for both major and maintenance release cycles Identify risks, cross application dependencies and downstream impacts per release Establish and communicate master release schedule Design and implement efficient procedures for the distribution and implementation of IT changes into production Facilitate issue tracking and resolution of post go live activities where required Manage scope and schedule of releases Creation and communication of release status implementation scorecard and executive status reporting Assist in the prioritization of enhancements and changes into release packages Develop process for emergency and exception releases Participate in weekly Change Advisory Board meetings Consolidate and publish Release Notes for each deployment Ensure compliance with IT processes including proper documentation, reviews and approvals of related changes Provide timely escalation to IT Leadership where necessary/appropriate What are the top 3 skills required for this role 1. SAP Knowledge: Strong understanding of SAP modules relevant to tax processes. 2. Tax Engine Expertise: Familiarity with tax engines (like Sabrix, or OneSource)and integration with SAP. 3. Familiarity with Agile methodologies/JIRA.
