Job Title: Senior Data Governance Analyst / Senior Data Analyst Job Location: Chicago IL (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract Job Description POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Shepherd teams through onboarding process, facilitate conducting UAT, and help upskill users Refine roles and responsibilities and role-based security access requirements for users who require CRUD access Continuously improve processes for business stakeholders to create, update, and delete business metadata Assist data stewards/owners with defining glossary terms and provide ingestion support Ensure adherence to data governance best practices Develop operations administrative user guide and services catalog Develop Playbooks and execute Playbook ingestions and reviews Develop measurements and process to monitor tool performance to identify any issues or areas for improvement Partner with communications lead to conduct training and champion the data catalog product Define and execute controls to confirm completeness and accuracy of metadata Develop daily health check process to confirm continuing data catalog functionality Collaborate with Product Manager, Platform team, IT to ensure future integrations/connections are set up and onboard applications to Atlan based on roadmap priorities EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum five years experience in data governance or data analysis role Proficient in implementing/managing data catalog products Demonstrated understanding of metadata management, data governance, and lineage concepts Excellent problem-solving skills Strong verbal and communication skills Highly self-directed with the ability to multitask Experience with Atlan preferred Hospitality experience a plus EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in information management, Data Science, or related field.
